Welcome to Semua Surfing Bali. “Semua" in Indonesian means everyone. That’s our goal – to have everyone up and surfing quickly! Semua Surfing Bali provides quality surf lessons, individualized coaching and surf guiding for all levels. If you are keen to learn to surf, or you want to improve and be shown some amazing secret spots by our local surf coaches, we can help you. We believe surfing is for everyone. So don't worry if you are a complete beginner, intermediate or advanced surfer.

If you’re young or old, we will help you learn to surf in a fun, friendly and safe environment. We offer private surfing lessons, as well as lessons for couples, families and groups too. We can also take you on surf trips all around the island of Bali. Our qualified surf teachers will give you an amazing surfing experience by finding the perfect conditions to match your surfing, fitness and endurance level.

"Surfing is the most blissful experience you can have on this planet, a taste of heaven."

I was born in Medewi in West Bali. Since I was a kid, I have always been drawn to the water. Luckily, Medewi has some great surf, including the longest left hander in Bali, so it was a fantastic place to learn to surf.

I always wanted to share my love of surfing, so at the age of 18 I moved to Seminyak to gain work experience at the Austrian-owned, top-quality Surf camp called The Balicamp. Working there for 4 years, I honed my surf coaching and life saving skills.

In addition to my work experience as a professional surf instructor, I also completed Academy of Surfing Instructors Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications, the Basic Surf Rescue certificate, the Senior First Aid certificate, and Bronze certificate.

Being a great surf coach is more than being a great surfer. You have to know how to teach and motivate people too, as well as make sure they have a safe and fun experience. With my combination of real life surf teaching experience, and formal surf education, I opened Semua Surfing Bali. I am fortunate to love my job providing surf guiding, surf coaching and surf trips to people from all over the world!

Dodik is our driver and photographer and plays a very important role at Semua Surfing Bali. He not only drives you safely to and from our surf spots, but also takes great photos and video of your surfing. Anyone who has tried to capture surf photos and videos knows it can be challenging.

However, Dodik has years of experience behind the camera and takes excellent photos/video. And the best part is that you can take home all those awesome photos and videos of you surfing at the end of your surf lesson with Semua Surfing Bali. They are great for showing your family and friends what you can do in the water, or for analysing and improving your surfing technique.

Services

We offer different kinds of surf education and can meet almost any requirement you have. We cater to all levels - from complete beginners to very advanced surfers. We also offer Surfaris for confident surfers who want to discover some secret spots or surfers who want to paddle out into those famous lineups of Uluwatu, Padang-Padang, Bingin or Impossibles on the Bukit Peninsula. Our passion is to create a fun and safe environment for you in Bali to learn how to surf. Our teaching methods suit all customers and if you are coming to learn with us you can use your skills in any other surf holiday you are planning to do - hopefully back here with Semua Surfing Bali of course!

To be able to provide high quality and safe lessons we teach only in small groups of two (for beginners) and a maximum of three surfers (for intermediate and advanced levels). If you are planning to come and surf with us in a bigger group there will be a coach for each two (beginners), or each three (intermediate and advanced) surfers in every session. Apart from Romi there are well educated freelance surf coaches we regularly work together with, who are joining us with Semua Surfing Bali when we are coaching bigger groups.

Our surf sessions are between 1.5 and 2.5 hours in the water, depending on the wave conditions and your endurance. In addition, we always warm up with stretches, to improve your surfing and a surf spot explanation, so you know what to expect in the water.

Video coachings will radically boost your surfing progress. After our cameraman Dodik films your surfing in HD quality, we review and analyze the videos together in slowmotion on a TV screen. We show you simple ways to improve your take offs, maneuvers and of course how to read and interact with the waves.

Theory Sessions are very important for everyone who wants to surf and especially for surfers who want to improve their basic and advanced maneuvers. Surfing is more than paddling around in the water and catching waves. Increasingly crowded lineups mean surfing is often a group sport, so it’s important to watch out for each other and follow the rules of surfing. We’ll explain those rules so you know how to keep yourself and everyone else safe. Book with us and check it out!
